Christmas Spirit?

Right now, I have none. No Christmas music is playing in our home, we don't have a tree, and the decorations haven't even been dragged from the attic. Not to mention the Christmas card photos that I haven't gotten to yet--not even to transfer them from the memory card to the computer! Pathetic? Yes, there's no denying it. I am so far behind that I think it would be better to just sleep until January and start fresh then.

You might be wondering what my deal is. I'm working. A lot. A lot more than I should be because the store manager has pneumonia. (Poor thing! She sounds terrible!) And the mall is on holiday hours now, which means that I'm not leaving the mall until 11 (at the earliest, and yes, that is pm.) By the time I get home, wind down (I'm a night person, so it takes a while), and get to bed, it's almost 1. And then Anna, bless her heart, wakes up a mere six and a half hours later. As I wrote today to a friend in an email (which I hadn't checked since before Thanksgiving, and had gotten out of control at 400 plus in my inbox): At this point, not even my usual coffee fix(es) can perk me up. I feel like my grandma--if I sit down for any amount of time, I start drifting off to sleep. I can only hope I'm not snoring like she does.

So if there are any spelling, syntax, or grammar errors in this post, you can chalk it up to lack of sleep. I don't have time to read over it; I have to get ready to go to work.

All I want for Christmas is some sleep.
