Spaghetti

Last night we all went downtown and had dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory and then walked around Circle Center and the War Monument. (Sorry, no pictures.) At dinner, we discovered that Anna LOVES spaghetti.

We've been working on signing words for several months now, without much success--that is, until last night. After I gave Anna the first bite of my spaghetti, she got very excited and said (yelled) "moh" and did the sign for "more!" She did the best she could--it looked a little more like a clap than the actual sign, but she got it! Then we started working on please, which I think will take a little more coordination. However, she was trying and didn't fight me when I helped her sign it. Every time I looked at her, she said and signed "more." After that, Brandon gave her some ice cream, which I think she loved equally as much as the spaghetti.

Anna also got her first up-close look at a horse. (They have horse-drawn carriages that trot around Monument Circle.) I'm not sure exactly what Anna thought about the horses, but she did seemed a little overwhelmed by the sheer size of them.

Sometime in the future, it will be fun to make a day of going down to Circle Center, eating (there are lots of great restaurants downtown), and visiting the Civil War Museum that is housed in the base of the War Monument.

I LOVE the Old Spaghetti Factory too. They're prices are really inexpensive and, have you tried their pasta with mizithra cheese??? It is to die for. I've searched every Italian and Greek restaurant in Tulsa for someplace that serves it, but to no avail. You must try it.

I haven't tried that yet, but I will next time. When I saw it on the menu, I was wondering what it would taste like. I was really impressed with the prices--any meal that comes with salad and desert included is ok with me! And the portions weren't too big; everything was just right. All of us gave it two thumbs up!

Oh yes, I concur! Mizithra. It's yummy.

But it seems unfortunate to eat spaghetti in a restaurant. It removes the opportunity of tossing some onto the lawn! :)

LOL! I had forgotten all about that! :) Now that I have a big back yard, we could have a grand old time tossing our spaghetti on the lawn!
