Randomly Amazing

OK, so I've been sitting at my desk eating my less than appetizing lunch and I decided to Google my maiden name to see if anything would pop up. Apparently there is someone from Pleasant Plain, Ohio with my same name (maiden name) who is a barrel racer with her horse, named Zest for Cash. (Not the best horse name if you ask me.) For those of you not familiar with rodeos, barrel racers are the girls (or boys) who race around the arena with their horses and try to have the fastest time. They have to ride in a certain pattern which is marked off by barrels (thus "barrel racing"). Unfortunately for this Christie, she is not exactly at the top of her game--she hasn't won any of her races. I find this very interesting, however, because I've been interested in barrel racing ever since I read a book about it years ago.

At least you have a name worth Googling. You could spend forever looking at Becky Davis. I wish there were just one of me at my bank! Even if I had an "original" first name, with a name like Davis, I'm just doomed to be lost in a sea of no one that important.

There's only one Christie like you honey! Oh sure, you could have been a successful "barrel racer" like your counterpart (in Ohio), but that's not your talent. Although if you really practiced hard after you have little Anna, with a lot of hard work, practicing riding on Spike and slowly working your way up to a real horse, I think you might have a shot! In the mean time...
Have Brandon fashion a "briddle" to fit in Spikes mouth so you have something to hang on to... you can't afford to have a "spill" with little Anna along for the ride! Just think... when Anna's old enough you'll be able to teach her how to "barrel race" like her Momma!

Love you,
Dad

Maybe when you were born, your mom actually had twins but your parents only wanted to keep one child so they sent the other one off to Ohio to live with a foster family. And maybe they named you both "Christie" because that was the name they really wanted and they couldn't bear to choose who got the "good" name (especially since the other girl was on her way out the door and they felt guilty). Hmm. The things your parents never tell you. :)

I'm the only one of me out there when I Google myself, but according to an address-find engine, there's another one of me out in Pennsylvania. (She probably pronounces her name wrong, though.)

We've already tried to ride Spike like a horse and he doesn't like it very much. Of course, we don't really sit on him--we're much too heavy.
