Indianapolis = COLD!!!

We left for Indy the day after Valentine's Day, so no flowers for me. Instead, I got frostbite! (Not really, but it was cold enough!) The evening we arrived, the temperature dropped below zero and already there were 10 to 12 inches of snow on the ground. Here's a picture Anna and her daddy in the cold...

...and Anna in (by) the snow. It's a little hard to tell, but the snow is about to her shoulders.

This is the view out our hotel window.

The second day we were there, it started snowing again--another 2 to 4 inches. Anna and I stayed in all day. It's actually quite wonderful if you don't have to venture out. Below is a picture (again, from our hotel window) of the snow falling in the parking lot . After this snow fell, there was almost 16 inches of snow on the ground! We actually had to wade through it the next day to look at housing possibilities.

Holy Cow, are you guys sure you want to do this?! Anna told me she wanted to stay in the warmth where her Kendal can spoil her! I'll come visit...in the summer! Love, Aunt Kendal

Oh, the north isn't that bad. You get used to it. And they generally take good care of the roads up there in the wintertime.
