I have two rather expensive pieces of technology--that I use on a daily basis--that are currently not working. First, my laptop stopped running Windows. For no reason. And when I tried to fix it, the only disc I have for Windows and all my drivers turned out to be corrupt. Thanks a lot, Gateway! (A sincere thanks to my dear father-in-law who is letting me borrow his laptop until I can resolve my computer issues.) So far, I have lost ALL my photos (which I have on CD, thank God) and my music downloads (which I did NOT backup.)
Then, today, my iPod died. Death is an accurate description for what happend because it simply stopped working. I was listening to a song and then I wasn't. At first I thought it needed to be charged, but alas, the stupid device didn't even come on when I plugged it in! And unlike my Palm (which, miraculously, is still working) the iPod has no reset button!
I am SO over all this stuff!!!

Ugh! It's amazing how dependent we become on technology, only for it to disappoint us.
Were you able to get your iPod restarted? I'd be so upset if that happened to me. I need to back-up my downloads too.
What's funny is, man created this stuff...yet we are unable to fix it and have to deal with it when it breaks! Sorry Christie, that flat out stinks! -kendal
Yes, the iPod is back in business, although not because of anything I did. A couple days later, it started working again, just a curiously as it stopped. The computer is still an issue because I can't seem to work up the energy to call and deal with Gateway when I get home from school. I can barely get myself to go to the grocery store, let alone deal with frustrating computer people who I'm sure will give me the runaround.
